Active Power Engineering, LLC is an electrical engineering consulting firm offering services ranging from power system design, utility consulting, project management, crossing permitting, etc. Active Power Engineering was formed in May 2018 by Michael R. Anderson, P.E. Michael is an engineering professional with extensive experience in design, analysis, and power distribution. Active Power Engineering prides itself in providing the technical capabilities and skills of larger firms while maintaining a personal connection with our clients. We strive to provide solutions that meet the needs of the customer, enhance system reliability and ease operation in a cost-effective manner.
The electrical engineering services and products provided by Active Power Engineering include: distribution and transmission studies, protection coordination studies, relay operation analysis, power quality investigations, power outage analysis, reliability improvement plans, generation interconnection studies, and electric service standards development.
Electrical engineering services might consist of gathering data from field visits, equipment, personnel, and from reports, and performing analysis and calculations, to produce studies, reports, and recommendations related to the operation and improvement of the customer’s electric power system.
Work is performed primarily in the home office of Active Power Engineering, but also as needed at the customers’ offices and field locations. Field locations may include industrial plants, construction sites, and electrical substations. Field location safety will be managed with proper training, escorted access, and personal protective equipment.
